1. Introduction

Dr Alison Lennox (“I”, “me”, “my”) is committed to protecting your privacy. I am a Consultant Neurodevelopmental Psychiatrist providing assessment and consultation services. This policy explains how I collect, use, store and protect your personal data. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller. My ICO registration number is ZB885553.

2. What Data I Collect

Website visitors: IP address (anonymised), pages visited, browser type, referring website, general location via cookies and analytics.

Enquiry form: Name, email, phone (if provided), message content. If you include health information, this is special category data under UK GDPR. By ticking the consent box, you provide explicit consent.

Patients: Clinical reports, assessment notes, billing information, referral details. Clinical records are held by the clinic under their own policies.

3. Lawful Basis

Consent and legitimate interest for enquiries; explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)) for health information; contract performance and healthcare provision (Article 9(2)(h)) for patients.

4. How I Use Your Data

To respond to enquiries, manage appointments, provide clinical services, communicate with referrers (with consent), manage billing, improve the website, and comply with legal obligations. I will never sell your data.

5. Who I Share Data With

The clinic where your appointment takes place, referring clinicians (with consent), Cloudflare (hosting), Resend (transactional email delivery), Google Analytics (anonymised), administrative support under confidentiality agreements, and regulatory bodies where required by law.

6. Data Retention

Analytics: 26 months. Enquiries (non-patients): 12 months. Clinical records: minimum 8 years per GMC/RCPsych guidance. Billing: 7 years per HMRC.
